Backpacking, High Sierra  (Mineral King)

27 July - 6 August, 2021

This is a tough 7 day backpacking trip (with an additional two hotel/cabin nights at the end), geared for the experienced and fit backpacker.  If the prospect of hiking through hail storms, crossing swollen creeks, enduring annoying mosquitos, and climbing multiple off-trail passes and peaks in exchange for experiencing some of the most remote, dramatic, and beautiful wilderness in the country sounds appealing, this might be for you.

We obtained permits in February for a group entry at Mineral King, in the Sequoia National Park.  This is a loop route, returning to our start point.

See the draft map-set / itinerary below.

Space is limited by wilderness permits available.  Commit early to reserve a spot.

Cost: $450.
