Intro to Backpacking

This is a great introduction to backpacking.  We (Stacy, Ittai, Truckee, and David) will be at this beautiful place for 2 nights.  Our camp is at Island Lake, which is less than 2 miles from where we park near Grouse Ridge.  Ittai (5 year old) will hike on his own.  Truly an easy entry to backpacking; a chance to become familiar with the equipment, supplies, routines, and overall experience without the long distances and climbs.  Great hike for your young child!  There are countless day hikes of various difficulty levels from this campsite, many lakes, fishing opportunities, etc.  Or just relax by the lake!  Cost: $100.  Come early and enjoy the Blue Lake basecamp!
