Subject: Mountain Mayhem Practice at Mountain Bible Church next week!

 

Hi All!  Mountain Mayhem Wrestling is off to a great start for our middle school pre-season!  This coming week, we are going to try a trial run at a different venue.  Mountain Bible Church has generously offered to let us use their space during the week.  There is more room for the mats, bathroom and water on site, and most importantly, we can leave the mats set up during the week which saves us set-up and tear down time every day.  We are going to try out the set up this week, and see if it is a good fit for our program.

The route for student athletes to get to the church is as follows:

Go across the pedestrian overpass by Loma and cross the grass field to the path that runs along Summit Rd towards Summit Store.  Walk about 200 yards along the trail to the crosswalk, and cross Summit Rd to Mountain Bible Church.

Middle School students, with their parent’s permission, can walk to the church on their own.

Loma students (and any others that want to walk with the group) will meet at the bottom of the pedestrian ramp and walk with a designated 8th grader to the church.  They will depart at 2:50. Pick up at Mountain Bible Church at 4:45.

We will see how this works out and let you know if we will continue at MBC beyond this week or go back to the portable building.  Thank you, Mountain Bible, for opening your facilities to us!

 

If you have not yet gotten your liability release in and $50 contribution (check made out to Mountain Mayhem Wrestling or paypal to mountainmayhem95033@gmail.com) to help with facilities rental and supplies, please do so as soon as possible.  We will get the middle school season schedule out to you in the next week (starts Sep30).  See you on the mat!
